The AZ 7701 portable meter is designed to detect carbon monoxide in the air. The meter's design is based on modern microprocessor technology. A new-generation electrochemical sensor characterized by a fast response and high accuracy is used for measurement. CO concentration is measured in the range of 0 - 999 ppm (parts per million). Readings are displayed on a dual-field LCD panel with a resolution of 1 ppm. The device features an acoustic alarm when preset thresholds are exceeded. The user can select an alarm threshold, which will trigger an audible alarm, from the following values: 25 (factory setting), 30, 35, 40, 50, 70, 100, or 200 ppm. When the alarm threshold is exceeded, up to 200 ppm, the current CO concentration is displayed on the LCD panel and short, intermittent audible signals are emitted. The frequency of these alarms increases as the carbon monoxide concentration increases. Above 200 ppm, the current CO concentration is displayed on the LCD panel and a continuous audible tone is emitted. The AZ 7701 meter has a maximum reading recording function, which is displayed on the lower part of the LCD panel. The backlight function makes readings easier to read in low light conditions, such as at night or in unlit rooms. The device is powered by three 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries (included). The battery charge level is monitored on the display. APPLICATIONS The AZ 7701 allows you to quickly check rooms for the presence of carbon monoxide. It is useful during the installation and servicing of gas heaters or for routine CO concentration measurements, e.g., in oil or gas systems.
